It was the Spring of 2015...

and our daughter had just reached her 2.5 year old milestone. My husband and myself enjoyed being parents and enjoyed every minute of learning as much as we could about the world from our daughters perspective. She took us on adventures and introduced us to a new way of learning. We weren't rookie parents, but we weren't veteran parents either. We were learning the world each day as the Lord had created it. However, that Spring of 2015 our worlds were rocked upside down.

Our seemingly healthy two-year old daughter was diagnosed with a neurological disorder called epilepsy. We loved our daughter with all our hearts and cared for her the best way we could. We spent countless hours researching the causes of epilepsy and the best treatment options. Caring for her consumed our lives. We were a young couple in our mid-to-late twenties that found ourselves not doing simple things that we once took for granted, that includes date nights.  The thought of having a romantic date-night turned into months and the months turned into years. We had no family in the area and were stuck with no other options for date-night babysitting care.  I had my share of struggles searching for a babysitter who felt comfortable enough caring for a child with epilepsy.

The struggle to find a babysitter who was qualified and willing to be "trained" for the job was challenging. I knew their must have been other parents in my community that possibly faced the same challenges of finding childcare as I had. One day the idea of starting a babysitting referral service was planted in my head.  Supreme Care Sitters, LLC was established in the hopes of providing reliable and safe babysitting referrals  to busy moms and dads in the greater Lafayette/West Lafayette area.
